Inrid Michelson is a 30-something singer-songwriter originally from Staten Island, New York. She started taking music lessons at a pre-school age and completed a degree in theater as a young adult. As the story is told, Michaelson was streaming her music on myspace.com when a TV producer approached her and launched her career. Her music since has been featured on several television shows and advertisements. She self-describes her songs as “idiosyncratic” on her Facebook page, but rest-assured that her music is firmly grounded in the modern pop aesthetic. Her 2014 single, “Girls Chase Boys,” is certainly catchy and will be bouncing around in my head all summer.
